We Are the Wibbly!

Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year An ALA Notable Children's Book

Join one little tadpole on a hilarious adventure through the frog life cycle in this charming picture book about growing up and learning new things.

In the Wibbly, being a small egg with a lot of egg friends is very nice and very relaxing. This tadpole never, ever wants to leave. But suddenly, all their friends start to grow! And worse yet-they are bursting out of the Wibbly!

Soon, the tadpole starts to grow too, and they're not entirely sure they like it. From growing longish and learning to water-fly, there are many changes to get used to. The tadpole must be brave as they grow and learn new things and leap out into the wider world.

This decidedly silly, heartwarming story follows a tadpole on the sometimes-scary, sometimes-fun journey to becoming a frog, complete with back matter that includes a real explanation of the frog life cycle. We Are the Wibbly! is perfect for teaching young readers about embracing new experiences and adapting to the challenges of life.
