For the month of August, we're going to be reading Les Miserables by Victor Hugo and watching the film, Les Miserables directed by Tom Hooper
Here at The Midnight Oil we intend to build a community of book lovers along with teaming up with local businesses to provide various experiences.
We're partnering up with The Kress Cinema for this book-to-film series. Within the first part of the month readers will be able to pick up their copy of the book to read. The last Tuesday of every month we'll get together at The Kress Cinema for a private screening. (Because this book is on the thicker size, books will be available sooner to allow for more reading time.) *
Doors open at 6pm for concessions and socializing. The movie starts right about 6:30pm.
Your purchase includes the book which is yours to keep along with an entry to watch the movie.
Add-on tickets for this month will also be an option. Must have purchased at least one Book-to-Film ticket for additional add-on tickets.
*PLEASE NOTE: This is a longer film - 158 minutes - make sure you've got enough popcorn to last you the whole night! We will start a half an hour early to make sure you get home in time for work the next day, too.*
